@smalltime0 Perth is a lot wealthier and growing fast. Now it has twice that population. Infrastructure was built based on projections. Adelaide has hardly changed in 30 years.

@smalltime0 from an environmental point of view and the frequency of Adelaide trains it would be insignificant given the amount of diesel vehicles on the road already. It really is about cost and South Australia needs federal grants to build anything.
