  1. With the digital, history is being rewritten as it happens. it's even important to make sure you have paper dictionary from at least a few years ago, because they're trying to change the meaning of words much much faster than "language changes, get over it" people would admit.

  2. The US government has a history of using `convenient` emergencies to seize more power. And because it seems to work out each time, one might say they've been incentivized to introduce said emergencies...
