@rexx9496 Underneath everything is oil and gas, as well as a growing hi-tech industry. Dubai itself is meant to be a tourist destination as well as a home for the wealthy. They aren't attracted to the "peasant" lifestyle. It wouldn't be the destination it is, without the silly design. I personally would never live there. It's not the heat, it's the humidity.

@prototropo As long as it's their money, who cares. Doesn't effect us. If it crashes and burns, that won't effect us either. This is a conversation about architecture and infrastructure.

@soanaub Austin was a nice place in the 70s and 80s before the raving psychotic Democrats and California refugees (one in the same) took over. Now it has towers everywhere and it's overrun with crime.
