@ardius9777 In the United States malls are becoming a thing of the past, especially in cities run by the party that tolerates crime. The new trend is open shopping centers, where each store is separate. Completely different from how life, and the jam-packed malls were 50 years ago!
New urbanism is a catch-all phrase, but in Texas, as millions move here from other states, and new developments are designed and built, they take on the feel of a small town, with homes, parks, and a "downtown" with shops and restaurants, and a supermarket. You might need a car to get to work, but once home, you can walk everywhere. It makes sense from every standpoint.
