@alexsmith-ob3lu The United States doesn't have "federals!" Our states created the federal government, not the other way around. As such, states' Rights and state sovereignty are real things. There's an incredible amount of new urbanism in the South and in Texas. As people flee dirty, dangerous Democrat run cities, they are fleeing to new communities that offer a "small town" experience, while remaining convenient to work and travel. The Houston, Dallas, and Austin regions of Texas have tons of these kinds of developments as those cities become more and more unlivable.

@alexsmith-ob3lu That's not even remotely true! The industrial age, then the petroleum age made the United States the world's superpower. The states did not relinquish their 10th Amendment Rights. However, one mistake was made. Abraham Lincoln's greatest mistake after defeating the Democrats and taking away their slaves was not banning the Democrat Party and it's diseased ideologies immediately. We've been paying for that horrific mistake every single day for the past 160 years!

@machtmann2881 Houston isn't cheap. It's a dangerous, crime ridden, Democrat run shit-hole, just like NYC. People are fleeing Houston for the suburbs. Same goes for Dallas and Austin, a Democrat shit-hole on par with San Francisco. The only relatively safe big city in Texas is San Antonio. That's because the population doesn't tolerate crime or criminals. It's not crime free, but people still exercise their Constitutionally guaranteed and protected Basic Human Right to keep and bear arms there. Criminals know it! The fact is, if you removed the Democrat run shit-holes, the United States would be safer than Luxembourg! Go learn things.
