@ehjo4904 Clothes and architecture are not even remotely in the same category. Buildings are a capital expense. Depending on the building, they can cost in the millions of dollars to construct. As such, they will be around for a long time. Ugly "modern" architecture is an eyesore and will e torn down. On the other had, older, more pleasing architecture is saved. Often regardless of cost. That speaks to the desirability of classic design. It's the same reason people will spend crazy money restoring classic automobiles, and lovingly care for them, but look at new "modern" cars as mere appliances that are completely expendable. Like your buildings.
