  2. 04:38 To be fair, Charlemagne was born in what is now Belgium, so one can say that the Frankish Empire is just Belgium (or the Netherlands) conquering most of Europe. Obviously neither Belgium or the Netherlands existed back then, the Franks were a Germanic tribe that happen to come from what is now the Benelux.
