Both African socialism (an ideology adopted by most of post-colonial Africa) and the License Raj is the result of them just copying the Soviet Union and calling it "social justice". The fact that Singapore became rich is because they didn't just take the Soviet economic model. In a world without the Soviet Union African and Indian poverty would've been concepts of the past. There was no one model of British rule in India and Africa was likewise a patchwork of colonies and protectorates, a protectorate typically was administered through indirect rule.

It wasn't the reason for colonisation.

Statistically, people in cities are more mentally stable than rural people (look into psychological research on neuroticism), but because there are just so many more people in cities you see more crazies. Basically every day I see multiple people on schizo rants in cities, people just ignore them. If someone acts the same in a rural village people would immediately call the authorities.

Talks of "self-actualisation" and focusing on your own happiness weren't mainstream before the Baby Boomers, I'd say that the Baby Boomers were the first "Me generation" because they were raised (with good intentions) by parents who believed that this level of freedom would benefit them. Also, no generation before or after them had these levels of freedom as we later saw helicopter parents and codified restrictions on youth.

Liberalism" and the synonymisation of the right-wing with "Conservatism". Conservatives by definition don't have a vision for the future, their idea of political change is preventing change. A right-wing that is Conservative will always lose. Conservatism also changes every generation to conserve whatever existed only a generation prior. I already see U.S. American Conservatives these days romanticising the 1990's as "an ideal time" like Baby Boomer Conservatives do for the 1950's. You need a competing vision for the future. The best answer to Wokeism and other "left-wing" Power-seekers is a pro-technology pro-progress ideology, Progressivism defined by human wealth and well-being and not "progressivism" as defined by Marxists who are too ashamed to call themselves Marxists.

It was the leading family in the Empire's history and also ruled over Spain and Hungary, it's likely that the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation could've expanded itself with these territories and lets its Spanish portions colonise America while splitting France between itself and the English. I think that the Hungarians and Spanish would support being a part of the Empire as a way to keep the Ottomans (and other Muslims) out.

Basically any generation since the 1960's, the Baby Boomers were the first rebellious youth (and I would argue the only one generation that actually rebelled), people chase status but status symbols change, if "looking poor" gives one status then they will adopt the look while still wearing clothes that obviously differentiate them from the actual poor.
