I've seen a lot of pseudo-intellectuals say that they don't care about (the safety of) children but go out of their way to want to help women with the same issues. A girl isn't valuable until her menarche.

  2. You can't just use the average of a person in any given place, the Pareto Principle still applies. There's a top 20% and a bottom 20% in carbon use. If the people who are most likely to raise their children to care for the environment aren't having any children then the only way they can reproduce is memetic rather than genetic (by introducing their ideas to the offspring of others).
