  1.  @Zekor4  Japan is correct, the more commonly known flag is a naval ensign (which is still used today for Japan's self-defense forces at sea).

  2. But Filipino history is just that, the Spanish only wanted it as a trading port with China, the Philippine revolution was an offshoot of the Cuban one (which is why the Filipino and Puerto Rican flags resemble the Cuban one), and the later uprising was just Japan.
