  1. Ever since the Thalidomide scandal, medicine has been unable to quickly innovate. The worst part is that the regulations created due to Thalidomide have been exported globally and even willing test subjects are not allowed to be tested on without years of pre-trials. You're not even allowed to consent to be a test subject yourself, we really need to reform these laws.
