My wife got a virus last year or two years ago, I simply used Microsoft Windows Defender and it was gone. Viruses are really rare these days.

This is why we need an Open A.I., let people make their own versions.

Dude, the original Discovery Channel is still around, it's just called "Discovery Science" now.

If this happened in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Canada, or most countries Oracle would have easily won because most countries heavily favour copyright trolls and treat copyright as the holiest among laws. Those United States of America are innovating more because companies worry less there about lawsuits than in most of the developed world.

YouTube is today's Discovery Channel, well, various television channels on this platform are.

The worst part is that Microsoft wasn't late to the game at all, in 2006 Microsoft Windows Mobile was 60% of the smartphone market, when they switched from Windows Mobile to Windows Phone they didn't make their operating system backwards compatible and allowing old features to get lost.
8
Yes, but many start up's don't even come to the initial growth phase because of endless regulations and extremely strict intellectual property laws that doesn't allow Europeans to innovate without the fear of hundreds of wealthy opportunists suing anyone because their design slightly resembles that of something made somewhere 100 years ago.

Especially since the people who pay to stop seeing ads are literally the people with the most money to throw around.

03:40 I have no idea how missed the mark so far, Microsoft was in the smartphone market since Windows XP, there were older versions of Windows Mobile before Windows Mobile 6.5, heck there were older versions of Windows Mobile 6.

If only one country trained their athletes for the Olympics we shouldn't be surprised if they would produce more Olympic champions.

I'm afraid that Google will do what Satya Nedalla did for Microsoft, namely just give up on consumers altogether. While Microsoft is more profitable, there is no worse time to be a Microsoft consumer.
6
03:02 Not true, Bing was simply a rename, originally M.S.N. Search was created in 1998 and is only 1 year younger than Google.
5
My bad, 1999.
5
To be fair, Microsoft is the underdog.
5
I changed my standard search engine, Chrome allows you to change it.

I still think that they should buy Yahoo! Just for the legacy e-mail users to integrate into their businesses.
3
Ừ.S. American hegemony.
3
Google isn't a good corporate partner because they're the "spring cleaning" company, while Microsoft still has support and drivers for M.S.-D.O.S. on their websites and maintains ancient software, Google randomly deletes services and features at any moment they can. You don't know what important feature your business needs will be gone come next spring.

Xbox...
2
I still think that it would be wise for Microsoft to buy Yahoo!, It would immediately put them in a better position to compete with Google services just because of the legacy customer base that it has.
2
Same in those United States of America.
2
Linux is not an operating system, it is a kernel on which operating systems are built.
2
I started using Microsoft Internet Explorer when I became a Microsoft fanboy and just kept using Microsoft Edge. I think that Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome both have their advantages and disadvantages, I personally use Microsoft Edge more on a desktop device.
2
I often have to research topics so I Ecosia things quite a bit, but I did notice that just in general I can spend entire days without ever using Ecosia at all.

"Ph.D. In philosophy" = "Doctor of Philosophy in philosophy".

04:05 If Microsoft cared about market share they would have bought Yahoo! years ago.
1
I've used Microsoft Bing as my exclusive search engine from around 2011 or 2012, sometime around 2018 or 2019 I switched to Ecosia which is powered to Microsoft. Google hardly shows better results and with Bing you get Microsoft Rewards and with Ecosia you're helping endangered ecosystems around the world.

Yes, I'm sick of all this censorship. They are deliberately nerfing it because people demand constant censorship, most A.I. today is designed to remove information and police it rather than share and create it. I just want there to be 1 A.I. programme that is truly uncensored and open (as in open source).

A decade ago Microsoft was one of the most hated companies in the world and journalists used to always attack it, regardless of what it did. I remember being a Microsoft fanboy who owned basically every Microsoft product, such a shame that Nadella threw in the towel in a lot of fields.
1
Adobe is also a notorious patent troll and they use their patents to prevent the competition from innovating, this is why they're a monopoly as no sane competition can enter the market.
1
Only a few years ago the opposite was true, not too long ago literally every media company just HATED Microsoft and would only ever report good things about Google and Apple.
1
You can literally still use it today, if people would randomly migrate to MySpace others will follow.

For whatever reason I thought that the narrator was Indonesian, never thought of him as an Indian.

10:20 The ability to play YouTube on a television is a HUGE step forwards, I really don't like traditional cable television and YouTube basically has whatever you want, if a television doesn't have access to YouTube it is largely useless to me.
1
If it wasn't for the universal media hate, Microsoft products would be selling a lot better. We're lucky that the media don't praise everything Google does like they do with Apple or we'd see Google act as horrible.
1
8K is the best a human eye can see with the distance the average person sits from a television, every upgrade will only be noticeable if you sit extremely close to the television for no apparent reason.
1
10:30 I am literally using a Google phone with search results from Microsoft Bing. Just because I use a Google phone doesn't mean that I have to use Google's other offerings.
1
Samsung was associated with flip phones when touch screens came out, people are willing to re-think brand associations.
1
05:30 I saw an article about over a decade ago, they basically said the bigger the thing the less likely people are to replace it. A new television costs as much as a new mobile telephone, but while people replace their telephones every few years, many people use the same televisions for over a decade or even multiple decades.
1
All the tech websites I read at the time said that it was about patents, I have no idea why others claimed anything otherwise.
