  2. Not unique to China, all Asians are like this. I've never seen a Filipino, Indonesian, or Vietnamese actually finish a meal.

  3. Let's be honest, if the government dictated an empty plate campaign during the 1950's there wouldn't have been a famine, people were wasteful back then too, all to save face. The food supply was amble, but it was not allowed to be distributed to the hungry because of the Communist Party bourgeoisie hoarding it.
