  1. Like the Korean War, only in Korea the U.S. Americans were lucky that their puppet state was a member of the United Nations, they actually rejected the Soviet offer to allow both Vietnam's to join, meaning that the U.S. sabotaged their own victory.

Because to the South Vietnamese a Communist invasion wasn't seen as "liberation", likewise South Koreans didn't see the "liberation" of South Korea by the north as such either, neither do Taiwanese people view a potential C.C.P. take over as a "liberation". But if Taipei would fall today tomorrow's Taiwanese will celebrate it as a liberation.

  4. China only reluctantly helped because the Chinese were fighting Communists in their own country but they didn't want the French in their backyard. The Chinese actually wanted to support the Việt Quốc, but they were mostly being decimated by the Communists during their revolution.
