I believe there will be big changes in N. Korea once the war is over, and if there are any N. Korean military still alive who left the country, they'll be either looking to move back home, OR live elsewhere, and if theyre involved militarily, they'll spread their message world wide what it was like for them, and this will resonate with n. Koreans who somehow hear this message. Kim will probably seal up the border even tighter than it is currently (if that's even possible) to try and prevent outside influence from any n. Korean soldiers who "saw the light" while on their deployment.
