  1. I've been aware of Ukraine since about 1995 when my Aunt and Uncle's next door neighbor hosted a foreign exchange student from Ukraine who was the same age as me and my cousins. Sergiy Drapiko and his family are from Kharkov, but left for Europe shortly after the Crimean annexation in 2014. It was a lot of fun "corrupting" Sergiy with Western entertainment that typical American teenagers are into. I've since found him on Linkedin and Facebook, but haven't heard from since he went back to Ukraine in 1996.
