  1. I had the Bangor, Maine police do almost that same thing to me during a traffic stop because of an expired inspection sticker. He said that it was normal for k-9s to search people's vehicle for drugs at traffic stops (which is a lie). So he had a k-9 officer arrive and it gave a positive "hit" on my vehicle so the cop spent 15 minutes tearing my car apart only to find NOTHING. I even told him that there was a bag of weed in the glove box, but he assured me that k-9s arent even trained to search for cannabis anymore since it's legal in Maine medically and recreationally.
