In my opinion most Chinese Citizens are very smart and they know Taiwan was never part of China , and they know that one day their Children will vote and select their CCP Elected Officials and Bureaucrats. Pr. Xi knows that sooner or later all the Chinese Citizens will want to choose their own leaders. The brilliant move is a smooth transition.
