  1. Good news ! Factories in EU and US slowing down or closing due to a Chip shortage must never happen again ! The Semiconductors and Software Industries were invented in US and EU , initially and mostly with Taxpayers Public Funds for Research and Development, just like the Internet and the Web at DARPA and CERN. The EU Chips Act is vital , ideally with Intel , Global Foundries, Samsung, TSMC, MediaTek , etc. In my opinion Intel MegaFab project with 8 Fab's is the most integrated and smart, but whichever EU chooses ,must be done very soon. China is building Chip Foundries like bakeries .Common Standards are a must to create solid Industrial Base.
