In my opinion , besides some Catalans requesting that the Monarchy retires , the background problem for Europe is the Neocon Oligarchs partially financing the break - up operation in exchange for seats in the new Government - Country and in Brussels , Frankfurt, Strasbourg. Every new Country entering the EU gets powerful seats at key EU Agencies , like ECB , etc., and that is what the Oligarchs will get if their financing of the Independence movement wins.
