1) Jeremy Corbyn's defeat is absolutly not due to its ideology, it's only because of Brexit.
2) most "social democratic" parties accross Europe suffered some heavy losses since the 1990s precisely because they didn't delivered and, contrary to Corbyn, shifted to the center: when they came to power since the collapse of the Soviet Union they compromised with capitalism ("Tournant de la Rigueur" of President François Mitterand in France) , bowed down to neoliberalism (shameful Hartz reform of Chancellor Gerhard Schröder in Germany) and adopted so-called 3rd Way centrist agendas (Blairism)... People who previously elected them rightfully saw that as treason.
3) Centrist Macron policies are very unpopular and have been a total disaster here in France... People are angrily demonstrating/protesting (i.e Yellow Vests riots and Unions strikes) and his approval ratings are far lower than Trump (I'm French btw if you ever wondered XD). Same goes for moderate Trudeau who barely got reelected. That means even IF reaching to the center was a way to win, the goal must not just be to win at all cost, but to actually have good policies that reduce inequalities and improve people's live.
4) The new Greek prime minister you mentioned along with the two previous spineless sellouts is neither "fresh" nor centrist: he's a pure same ol' right-wing conservative.
5) On the contrary, Trump was precisely elected because the Democratic candidate (Hillary Clinton) was too moderate and tried to compromise to reach to the center-right. On the other hand, Trump was unapologetic and uncompromising... so many swing voters saw him as more authentic. Republicans are not afraid to be right-wing ultra-conservatives so in order to win Democrats must not be afraid to be unapologetic left-wing ultra-progressives, they must embrace their true nature the same way the Republicans did.
All that to say your bullshit opinion falls flat and you, like many others crooked establishment dogs, will feel the Bern deep in your ass next November! 🔥🔥🔥🖕
