  1. I lost 25 per cent of my ira in 2000 and 25 per cent in 2008. My house was upside down but thank God I held on at my age I couldnt make up for it. I was fired at 67 and no one would hire me bc I was too old. I thank God I have what I need but I cant take a vacation I have a 2012 car I don't have life insurance I go on a wing and a prayer
