  42. In 1973 I went to the closest jr college from where I lived. The director of the Nursing program told me straight up I was the wrong color to get in his Nursing program. I am white. I was upset. And asked him where would a nice white woman go to get into a Nursing program? He told me to go to Cerritos. I went there got into the program graduated with a 3.8 grade average. I know racism first hand.
