  1. I believe parents give their children phones so early is for the phone to be a babysitter. Then they don't have to be a parent. They can watch their own phone. Relative of mine gave her 8 yo an iPhone on the point of safety. Now everyone sits in a different place to eat dinner so they can watch their phones. And communication with one another is gone to the phone
