  1. From what I recall from interviews with Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac's singer), cocaine was not considered particularly dangerous in music circles in the 1970's, and maybe up until the 1980's. Musicians would be supplied with cocaine on a steady regular basis, and that was considered "normal". It wasn't until later that the realisation came that cocaine was a bad drug. So that might have played a part in the crash. Maybe Randy didn't understand how dangerous it was to get in a plane with someone who was high on cocaine. Thanks for the video.
