  16. loki2240 you're entitled to your opinion, I don't think she's a terrible person and she did beat him fair and square in the primary. No one twisted any arms for her to get 55% of the vote and she even got less delegates than she was entitled to.

However, none of what you stated is the reason for Sanders not being nominated, and given the shock of Trump's winning MI, WI and PA it will naturally take time for her to lick her wounds. I never thought the email bullshit revealed any character flaw whatsoever, and was a ridiculous sideshow designed to sabotage her campaign (it did). She is no where near the ogre you paint her and America and the world could have benefited from her gradual progressivism and steady leadership. Instead, some voters opted for a gorilla flinging his shit against a wall.

Her problem was taking her base for granted and not realizing that a combination of unfair Trump/GOP attacks and the fact that she does not have Obama's unique charisma was not enough to win WI, MI, PA, and FL until it was too late. She honestly believed that the American white rural voter would not be dumb enough to entrust their future well-being to an incompetent, corrupt racist and sexist and she was wrong, as was I.

  45. Paulo Cesar Ferraro unfortunately Democrats have always been drawn more to personality than issues, at least since JFK in 1960. Even Jimmy Carter, as bland as he was, had a certain earnestness that attracted people, especially after Watergate and Vietnam. Hillary Clinton ran on Bernie Sanders' platform and she still lost, in part because people found her dull as a dishrag. If Democrats want to win in 2020, they will need a star candidate. Tom Hanks? Denzel? Oprah!
