most 18 year olds, myself included when I was that age, see life as this huge unfolding adventure, filled with seemingly endless possibilities, and having to make choices at that age is intimidating, and so they overcompensate with arrogant bravado. They think their elders are stupid yet they cannot even decide a college major. As time goes by and we grow older we begin to realize the weight of responsibility and the consequences of the choices we make and we see what those choices have done to the people around us. It's called maturity.

Z'Q since 1972? I don't think so.

for your assertion to be correct, inconvenient polling places for the young would have to account for their lack of voter participation ever since 18 year olds got the right to vote in 1971. That is just plain untrue.

Z'Q what you are alleging is not limited to 2020, it has likely been the case since 1972, and yet statistics show that despite the obstacles very young voters refuse to vote in proportion to older voters. The lone exception was 2008, perhaps because there was an unusually charismatic candidate on the ballot who also happened to be the first black Democratic presidential nominee.

Z'Q I have and I still disagree with it for the reasons I cited.

Z'Q I understand your argument and I refute it. Voter suppression or not, the simple fact is young people did not turn out to vote in numbers equal to 2016. If you want to vote, you can. I know voter suppression is an argument the Sanders supporters are using to explain his poor performance in the primaries, and it is not an excuse. Face reality.

Z'Q I'm not changing the subject, I just said something you don't agree with and it upsets you. That's on you.

Z'Q nope. But that's ok, we're not in the Senate.
