  1. originally conceived as a way for the smaller states to have an equal voice to the bigger states, it never fulfilled its role in weeding out a defective candidate like Trump. Instead, it has become a sinecure for political hacks and a rubber stamp for the popular winner in each state. It is entirely undemocratic as this point.
