  2. Paulo Cesar Ferraro unfortunately Democrats have always been drawn more to personality than issues, at least since JFK in 1960. Even Jimmy Carter, as bland as he was, had a certain earnestness that attracted people, especially after Watergate and Vietnam. Hillary Clinton ran on Bernie Sanders' platform and she still lost, in part because people found her dull as a dishrag. If Democrats want to win in 2020, they will need a star candidate. Tom Hanks? Denzel? Oprah!
