  1. Esai Morales should be worth more than that now that he's a big part of the Mission: Impossible film franchise. Some actors like Tom Sizemore, Dustin Diamond and Shelley Duvall are dead. I'm not sure some of these people are actually that poor when it comes to assets. For instance, Tori Spelling, who I know was disowned by her late very wealthy father Aaron Spelling, should be better off than this. Other than their finances, which I am only minimally interested in, so many of them have not aged well. BTW you can live quite well on $250,000+ with a p/t job on the side, depending on how old you are (senior citizen on benefits), where you live (a senior or rent stabilized apartment) and if you have family obligations.

  2. I was a substitute teacher at Roosevelt High School, 7 years after Murphy graduated. He was well known locally but curiously not very well liked.

  3.  @ActorsDataComparison  I mentioned his name to the students in class one day and they all just shrugged, like he was no big deal. I got the impression that they felt he was kind of corny. Also I grew up in Lakeview and still lived there at the time, and spent a lot of time in nearby Roosevelt. He didn't seem to make a big impression on anyone beyond being impressed with his early wealth. I just remembered that Murphy left the area for a NJ mansion a year before I started teaching, so abandoning middle-class LI for a rich lifestyle in NJ may have been a factor.

  5. I read somewhere that after he graduated from MGill (Canada's Harvard btw), Shatner rowed himself in a small boat from Canada to NYC. If true, that's f-ing awesome.
