@billybobwombat2231 they all remind me of the Twilight Zone episode where the dying rich man's greedy family must wear masks depicting their hideous personality until he dies at midnight in order to inherit his money. When he dies, they take off their masks which have reshaped their face into the ugly people they really are. (The exception is when they take off the dead man's mask, which only shows him at peace.)

@lolalalia4119 bingo. The kind of people who would enjoy sipping champagne in their finery while watching two poor people fight to the death in an underground club in Bangkok..

@lolalalia4119 Hitch sure did love his attractive blond women and tall, dark and handsome men. He could have benefitted from a little DEI in his films. The episode I wrote about is called The Masks (S5E25, 3/20/64). Your episode is Eye of the Beholder (S2E6, 11/11/60). Another one that touches on outward beauty and vanity - Rod Serling was a huge critic of both - is Number 12 Looks Just Like You (S5E17, 1/24/64), one of my personal favorites, especially that well-delivered last line. All of them describe today's Republicans to a T.

@sndspderbytes so do I. They have tried and failed to duplicate the series a number of times. A hundred years from now Rod Serling's original version will be remembered the same way we view Shakespeare's plays.

@lolalalia4119 I tried to imitate his writing and imaginative style in my teens. Some say I was pretty good but I never was and never will be in his league.
