  1. I dodged a bullet. Thank the Lord Jesus for my education and that I live in a blue state. I also thank Him for my Mom and Dad. But for an accident of birth I could have been white, rural, unskilled blue-collar, stupid and have ignorant, racist parents. Whew!

  4. the biggest surprise for me last November was Wisconsin turning red. Clinton lost by a little but Russ Feingold, whom I thought would win, got clobbered for Senate. Sad end to a state that gave us Progressive Republicanism and was home to UW Madison, once the most radical college campus in America next to Berkeley.
