  1. it's frightening how easy it is to convince incredibly stupid southerners and midwesterners to buy anything. I noticed that myself when I did telephone sales of agricultural products to those regions 25 years ago. I had these ignorant farmers buying 10 gallons of weed killer for $100 when a few ounzes would kill the weeds for like 100 years.
