  1.  @Rhotz-ix8ll  I'm a mechanic of 40 plus years and NEVER seen an ICE powered car self combust, while parked. I have seen several lithium batteries do it. Probably all that needs to be said. And no, not all those cars that burned were EV's, maybe 400 ICE cars burned, ignited by 1 EV. What does that do to the statistics? "Oh, look the ratio of ICE cars to EV's catching fire is 400:1"

  4.  @alexk6745  How does diesel self ignite? It's almost impossible to ignite diesel unless it's atomised. Unless it's because of an ELECTRICAL fault....
