@raymondmckinley5955 Have you missed the parts where China continually make threats against other countries? Ignore them and they will go away? I don't think so....

Everybody seems to be overlooking the threats China has been making, and the fact that they are in the process of trying to lock up the South China Sea as their own territory. They can NOT be allowed to do that, at any cost, that's why this alliance and nuclear powered subs are needed. It would be great if we all lived in Utopia and didn't need weapons of war, but unfortunately we don't live there

@Whoisthis1111 A lot of these people are living in Utopia and completely ignoring the threat from China. These are the same people who will whine like babies when they become ruled by China, that we didn't stop it from happening

@raymondmckinley5955 China, Russia and North Korea are all in an alliance, and all developing their own huge militaries, and that's all good, but we shouldn't be doing the same because they don't want us to? OK....

Steffy Leftyy You are right, and I never said anything to the contrary. We have been sent into lots of pointless wars in the past, because of our alliance with the US (Which has existed basically since WW2, so nothing new). I was one of those people that were sent, I never agreed with it then and I don't now. The problem now is, we only have 3 choices; Abandon our entire military and hope nobody decides to invade us, build a massive military that we can't afford, or remain in an alliance with a strong partner like the US or UK. Or our only other option is, just lay down and let another country move in. If we go down that path, I hope you like communism

@friendship9904 China is threatening everyone, we are buying capable submarines to protect our country. What's the problem? Did anyone say we declared war on China?? Are China allowed to dictate to us what defence assets we can and can't have?
