@ I think it’s a reasonable example, but my answer to that question is no, assuming he meant it when he said it. If he had no plans of keeping his word then it would be a lie. But if he did plan on keeping his word it wouldn’t be. Poor morals, yes. Lie, no

@ ok, I’ll change my question then - if congress say today that they won’t attack country XYZ and country XYZ then attacks America, do you think congress would change their tune? And if they did, would that mean they lied?

@ an even better example would be: you might say, “I hate guns and will never own one”. Then, a year later, you start getting death threats. Someone threatens to break into your house and “Unalive” you. Chances are, you are going to quickly change your mind and get one, to defend yourself and your family. This is exactly what Joe Biden is doing.
