The top of the mountain back in those days wasn't really a place to chill, it was like a war zone up there lol. It's tamed down a lot now these days. They now have a 2 cartons of beer per person per day rule ;)

@peterbarber7613 It's actually down to one carton now. Google is your friend. I'm sure it was 2 when I was there last, back in 2015, but could have actually been one, now that I think of it. Maybe seeing cops searching every car that was going up to the top of the mountain was just my imagination....

@superyamagucci Yep, that's exactly what the rules are, and they were enforcing it pretty heavily last time I was there, in 2015. There were rumours of people actually burying cartons of beer up on top of the mountain and going back to get more. Not a bad idea, because let's face it, who wants to drive back into Bathurst every day, if they don't have to?
