  1. Another thing to be aware of, in a country where they drive on the opposite side of the road, is that it's easy to get run over, because you sub conscientiously look the wrong way when stepping off the footpath/sidewalk

Another story I heard was that while the Brits rode their horses on the left, when the French and Brits were fighting, the French trained themselves to attack on the other side, to confuse the Brits, who expected them to be on their right hand side. No idea if it's true or not lol. Another reason horses would have been ridden on the left is because you always mount and dismount a horse on the left side. Another interesting thing is boats and waterways. Boats stick to the right of a channel at all times, in all countries, to my knowledge, and the steering wheel is also on the right of a boat
