  1. I drove from Melbourne to Perth back in 1999. I got booked for speeding after a long, long straight, first corner I went around at the end, there was a cop car coming the other way, with a radar lol. Just near the Nullarboar roadhouse, if my memory serves me correctly. Had my cruise control set at 130, the cop knocked it down to 129 for me (Speed limit is 110), saved me some coin ;)

  2. The longest stint for me was Ceduna SA to Norseman WA, it was about 12 hours, although you do gain 2.5 hours travelling from east to west
