  2. I remember seeing Legends cars for the first time at Mt Gambier (Dirt oval) speedway, back in the early 90's, I'm pretty sure these cars are based off them. I know when the Aussie racing cars first appeared they had to comply with CAMS rules for circuit racing, which meant they had to have a reverse gear. The engine and gearbox is out of a Yamaha motorcycle, so to get a reverse gear, they put a ring gear on the left rear brake rotor and mounted an electric starter motor next to it, so to reverse the car you had to select neutral, then hit a button to engage the starter motor and drive you backwards. A clever workaround I thought
