Glad you did this video, I’m one of the people who suggested it 😏I absolutely loved those cars, especially that Monza. Sports sedans we’re all over the country at the time and mostly raced just at their local tracks, but they adopted the GT class which was international and created a series for them. Because the cars were different and GT was a new category they combined the 2. The Bob Jane Monza was a sports sedan but was rebuilt to GT specs. It was incredibly quick but suffered from brake fade later in the races, from memory. That number 9 car you asked about, you should have picked, it was a Valiant Charger! (Mopar)

There’s another video on Brock’s huge crash in the Monza, I think that was at Adelaide raceway as well. He broke a CV joint off the start line and spun in front of the entire field

There is one here in WA that was built by K&A engineering (Apparently), races in sports sedans, driven by Tony Riciardello

Sounds like you know your stuff, can you tell me, for interest’s sake, did the Bob Jane Monza have the engine relocated for GT specs? As far as I remember the GT’s had to retain the engine in its original position, whereas the sports sedans were mostly mid mounted? I know that Monza had the engine in the bay and a rear mounted transaxle, but pretty sure the engine was mid mounted before the rebuild?

Oh, btw, there is a K&A engineering built Supra/Chev in Tassie I think, still racing, ex Kerry Bailey. I believe (Could be wrong)
