Exactly, the latest supercars have possibly less relevance to the road car then even NASCAR does, at least in NASCAR they have to maintain the same silhouette

@DStead2239 Supercar panels are all composite nowadays, have been for a few years. NASCAR uses original driveline layout, supercars uses a rear mounted transaxle. NASCAR doesn't use a ridiculously high rear wing. All the Commodores, Falcons and now Mustangs have had different wheelbases than their road going counterparts, for years. I think the only thing that makes Supercars LOOK a little bit more relevant is the swinging doors and having badges and lights

I guess you're right...Apart from all the same chassis, Front engine rear wheel drive Nissan Altimas, with a V8engine, Falcons and Commodores with different wheelbases than standard, gearboxes at the back of the cars, Mustangs with bubble roofs, fitted with engines from the 1960's, Yeah, I guess apart from all that they are fairly similar to the road cars....

Apart from the single piece part, just about everything you mentioned there applies to both Supercars and NASCAR, just saying....

@DStead2239 ok, you’re right- the cosmetics of the Supercars makes them LOOK a bit more relevant

@bazzag7614 yep, just like the V8 Commodore you can’t buy, or the V8 RWD Nissan Altima that was running until a couple of years ago in Supercars
