  9. Here in Australia we have an election once every 3-4 years. The campaigning starts about 8 weeks prior and there is a ban on campaigning for a couple of weeks before the day. And that's more than enough for anyone to put up with. I can't comprehend how long the average American has to put up with constant election campaigns.
