  23. you clearly were not yet a bill-paying adult in those years. the previous housing bubble price appreciation started 2002/2003 and peaked 2006. Decline started a bit in later half of 2007 and crash started gaining momentum 2008. 2010-2012 was market bottom in the US. Interest rates remained low so prices started slowly appreciating in 2013 but did not really skyrocket until all the pandemic money. Your original comment is wrong because 2k can rent a single family home in most parts of the country aside from coastal cities or the NorthEast. Grow up and do some research before attempting to state facts
