  6. Great one today guys. What Dan says about cleaning the condensor is true. Also if your AC or blower stops working be careful with any service tech who says it is all old, worn out, and needs replacement of the entire system. This happened to my friend who was quoted 14 thousand dollars! While he and his family were waiting in a heat wave for the new AC unit to get in stock, I checked his and found the failure was simply a start/run capacitor had failed. I replaced the $20 dollar capacitor, cleaned the condensor coils, and it has been cooling like new for years now. Always get a second opinion when someone says the whole system needs replaced.
