Undoubtedly, Coyotes fans are going to be pissed off about the move, but everyone and their brother knew it was coming. Number one, lousy ownership. Number two, lousy teams on the ice most years. And number three, no city in the Phoenix metro wanted them.
As for Arizona potentially getting an expansion team someday, it would be a huge waste of time. It would be just like putting yet another team in Atlanta. This same scenario would play out again in a decade. If Bettman is hell-bent on expanding in the South and the West, there are many other cities and states more deserving and can better support a franchise. Kansas City, Houston, New Orleans, OKC. and even Louisville, KY are all better expansion candidates than Arizona.

I also live in a swing state, Pennsylvania to be exact. I'm from the Northwestern part of the state.
Erie County is the largest population center in this area. Within the City of Erie and Millcreek Township, the two most populated areas of the county, I would give Harris a 60/40 advantage. Downtown Erie and the innermost-city neighborhoods are solidly for Harris, with the outlying areas surrounding 38th Street on both sides of town basically split between the two candidates, increasingly leaning slightly toward Trump. Edinboro, home to a state university, unsurprisingly tilts towards Harris. Everywhere else in Erie County, I would confidently give an 80/20 advantage toward Trump. In the other two counties of the Erie metropolitan area, Crawford and Warren, I would also give Trump an 80/20 advantage in both places.
- In McKean and Potter counties, to the east, I would go as far as to give Trump a 90-10 advantage in those places.
- In Mercer County, to the south and technically part of the Youngstown, Ohio metropolitan area, that one's hard for me to call. The towns closest to Youngstown such as Sharon and Farrell are solidly for Harris, but the further away from Youngstown you drive on I-80, I see more Trump signs. One also has to keep in mind that Mercer County is home to several small colleges, and college students tend to vote resoundingly Democrat. If I were forced to give an estimate, maybe 55/45 in favor of Trump. Which isn't all that far off from the 62% of the county Trump won in 2020.
- Forest County, one of the smallest and most rural counties in Pennsylvania, probably 95/5 in favor of Trump.
- Venango County, that's probably another 80/20 in favor of Trump.
Like you, I'm basing these estimates on political signs I see in front yards and on buildings.
