  3. 1:18 185 Liberty. If you're coming into town from I-90, it is literally the very first right turn you make as soon as you enter Conneaut. As soon as you make the right, it's on your right hand side, right off the highway. The newest Google street view for that address is 9 years ago, and the house was still standing. Not sure about now. But anyway, that's where it's located. As for who owns the property, you could probably look that up on the Ashtabula County website.

  4. He was also indirectly responsible for the creation of the Houston Texans franchise in 2002. In '99 when the Browns came back from being on hiatus after the move, it left the NFL with an odd number of teams. Adding a 32nd team helped balance the divisions out.

  5. That would be kind of cool, actually. You already have MLS teams in Cincinnati and Columbus. It would be fun to see Cleveland get in on the "Hell is Real" rivalry, since I-71 connects all three cities. Imagine that. Ohio's three largest cities, all of which hate one another, all having a soccer team in the same league. 😂

  7. If I had to guess, I would say that probably no more than 10% of fans in attendance at any given sold-out Browns home game actually live inside the city limits of Cleveland. The rest of them come in from the suburbs of Cuyahoga and the other counties, as well as other nearby cities such as Akron-Canton, Youngstown, and Erie, Pa. And to a lesser extent, you can probably throw Columbus and Toledo in there as well. On top of that, you can also account for whatever fans come to Cleveland to support the visiting team, especially whenever the Steelers come to town.

  8. The Rams. Cleveland's first NFL franchise, which moved to Los Angeles in 1946. Eight years later, St. Louis (who would later acquire the Rams via relocation in 1995) saw a baseball team in their city move to Baltimore to become the Orioles. That team was called the Browns, as was the NFL franchise from Cleveland that moved to Baltimore four decades later, the Cleveland franchise which replaced the Rams who moved to California, who then moved to Missouri. I know, useless trivia you probably don't care about. I just find it funny how eerily coincidental it all is. Lol.

  9. Actually, three of them have. - Indianapolis Colts, 2006. - New Orleans Saints, 2009. - the Rams have won Super Bowls while playing home games in domes in two different cities. St. Louis in 2000, and SoFi Stadium in L.A., 2021. Interestingly, I believe the Rams were actually the designated "away" team in the latter, despite playing the game in their true home stadium against the Cincinnati Bengals. And, even though it had a humongous hole in the roof, I guess you can count the old Texas Stadium as a dome, which is where the Dallas Cowboys played their home games the last time THEY won a Super Bowl. And the Seattle Seahawks missed out on this designation, moving outdoors from the Kingdome a decade before they won their first Lombardi Trophy.

  10. Fair enough. But let's pretend for a minute that the Cavs never moved downtown from Richfield, yet still won the NBA title in 2016. Would that have changed your opinion? Would you claim it as a championship for Cleveland, or as one for some suburb in Summit County that hardly anybody's ever heard of?

  12. The only renovation that makes sense is to reduce seating capacity. Since Cleveland can't fill its ballpark above half-capacity anyhow.

  13. Neither do the Bills, Dolphins, Giants, Jets, Chargers, Rams, and Commanders. In the cases of the Arizona and Minnesota teams, they use the state they're located in as opposed to an individual city within it. And then you have the Patriots, who effectively represent six entire states as opposed to just one city and play their home games out in the middle of nowhere an hour from Boston.

  14. With all due respect, please explain to me how one can "steal" something they already own. For example, Art Modell and the Cleveland Browns. I'll concede that Modell was a terrible businessman, and that he wasn't exactly truthful with the people of Cleveland when it came to his wheelings and dealings. But he didn't "steal" anything. When Cleveland wouldn't build him a new stadium despite happily doing so for the Indians and Cavs, he moved his team to Baltimore and suckered taxpayers there into building him one instead. That's really all there is to it.
