  1. The American side IS the hood, in its entirety. The park and the immediate areas around it are okay, but the further away from rhe Falls you get and the higher the numbers get on the streets, it gets progressively worse in a hurry. What's more, you also have Love Canal on the far east side of the city just off the LaSalle Expressway. It's not the most dangerous part of the city in terms of crime, but is dangerous for being hazardous to your health. You can Google the history of that neighborhood for more context. Nobody lives there anymore, aside from one or two houses mish-mashed on various streets.
