  1. I always tend to root for cities like Charleston to make a comeback. They have an absolutely beautiful downtown, with a good mix of stunning historic buildings and cool-looking "modern" buildings.

  2. I'm a huge fan of West Virginia. I've been to practically every major city in that state and have always enjoyed myself and interacting with the people. Morgantown and Martinsburg are really the only places I didn't care for in that state. People are nice in Morgantown, but it's just full of college students. And Martinsburg has a lot of people moving there from the Baltimore/D.C. area and bringing their rude big-city attitudes with them.

  3. ​​ @RocotacoPerposterown I've always had a soft spot for West Virginia in general. Honestly, it reminds me a lot of Pennsylvania (where I'm from). You've got the old steel towns along the Ohio River which remind me a lot of Pittsburgh and its suburbs and places like Johnstown, as well as the little hollers up in the mountains which to me aren't all that different than the little coal towns in the central part of PA.
