  1. Huntington (not unlike West Virginia as a whole) was hit extremely hard with the one-two punch of the loss of industrial jobs and the opioid epidemic. And to this day the city is still punch-drunk and trying to regain its bearings. Still, I used to enjoy going there. Sometimes I would make weekend day trips and drive out there from Cincinnati (where I lived at the time) just for fun.
